Minecraft AFK bot: stay AFK from your phone
MC AFK connects your Minecraft account to a server as a bot and keeps your character online without opening the game. This guide gets your first bot running in a few minutes.
What does MC AFK do?
MC AFK is a free Minecraft bot app for Android and iPhone. It connects to Java servers up to 26.3 and Bedrock servers up to 1.26.51.
While the bot is connected you can read and send chat, view its inventory, use server menus and, on Java, start tasks such as mining and fishing.
Connect your first bot in four steps
- Install MC AFK from Google Play or the App Store.
- In Server, tap Add Server at the top right. Enter only the domain or IP (no http://), the port, and leave the version on Auto.
- In Bots, add your first bot. Choose Java or Bedrock; if the server needs a Microsoft account, complete the official Microsoft sign-in the app opens.
- In Panel, turn on the service switch at the top and the bot’s switch. When Chat shows “Bot connected”, the bot is on the server.
Settings that help while you are AFK
- Auto Movement (Anti-AFK): moves the bot now and then on servers that kick idle players.
- Auto Eat: manages hunger when suitable food is in the inventory.
- Auto Command: sends a list of commands at the interval you choose.
- Auto Reconnect: tries to reconnect after a disconnect, with the delay you set.
- Automatic /login and /register: sends the server’s own login commands on servers with a login plugin. Enter that server’s password here, never your Microsoft password.
Does it keep running with the screen off?
While the service is on, the app tries to keep connections alive in the background. Android power management, network changes and server rules can still interrupt them; uninterrupted operation is not guaranteed.
For a steadier connection, allow notifications for MC AFK, check that its background activity is not restricted in your phone’s battery settings, and turn on Auto Reconnect in the bot settings.
How many bots can I run?
The first two bots are free. Extra bots share the time pool in Panel: the first completed rewarded ad adds 24 hours and each later one adds 12 hours. Only extra bots that are actually connected use pooled time.
Use MC AFK only on servers that allow bots. The app is not a Minecraft server, and connecting or passing a server’s verification is not guaranteed.
